Gonçalo Machado Borges heads the European and Competition practice. With more than 20 years as a practicing attorney, Gonçalo has extensive experience in providing legal assistance in regulation, antitrust and litigation matters. He has assisted clients in the context of anticompetitive agreements, abuse of dominance cases and merger control, with a special emphasis on advising electronic communications players. Gonçalo has also been involved, since its early days, in the private enforcement of competition rules in Portugal, representing both claimants and defendants. His experience extends to advising online platforms and marketplaces in competition and regulatory matters.
