Rui Pinto Duarte is a Counsel in the Litigation and Arbitration and Commercial and Corporate practice areas. He is a lawyer with a vast experience in the areas of corporate law, banking contracts, distribution agreements and rights in rem, also being one of the most renowned Portuguese arbitrators, having intervened in several arbitration proceedings, primarily in the position of president arbitrator. Rui Pinto Duarte has held teaching positions at several Universities, and is currently a full professor at the Faculty of Law of Universidade Católica Portuguesa. He is the author of several works and of a large number of articles on different legal topics, namely in the areas of Contract Law, Corporate Law, Property Law and Banking Law. He has collaborated in the orientation of several legal journals.
